Little more about Central region in Bulgaria

The central part of Bulgaria is situated in the Gornotrakiiskata plain, with many key cities. The climate in this part is mild, and very favorable for the development of various economic activities. In Central Bulgaria is situated the second largest Bulgarian city – Plovdiv. It has a rich historical and cultural heritage and is a main tourist center with an area of 53 km? and a population of 350 000 people. One of the most beautiful Bulgarian towns – Pazardjik was founded in the first quarter of 15th century as a commercial center on the international road Singidunum, connecting Europe with Asia. Central Bulgaria includes also other important cities like Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Stara Zagora and Chirpan.
